Team Commitments

We’re excited about the opportunity to connect with you! We know that this is a lot of upfront information, but we want you to feel confident in understanding what the serving commitment is as you consider serving on the Worship Team.

General Requirements

• Attend & Complete our Discovery Class.
• If you are considering being a part of the worship team and you are currently serving on another team, we ask that you work with your other team leader giving them adequate time to replace you on their schedule.
• In order to serve with the worship team, you will need to have access to a computer on a regular basis and have a current and active email account.  Emails are used to schedule and communicate changes, and we put several resources online for you to practice.  You can set up a free email account with yahoo.com or gmail.com.
• Attend Weekly Rehearsals on Saturday afternoons.
• Participate in unloading and loading of Genesis Church and Worship Team equipment on Sunday mornings.
• Childcare is currently NOT available during our practices.  If you bring your child with you, we ask that have something quiet for them to do while sitting beside you. For the safety of the kids that do come with their parents, we ask that they not leave the practice area while practice is going on. Thank you in advance for your cooperation in this area.

Practices & Rehearsals

Band and vocalist practices are held on Saturday afternoons from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm unless otherwise scheduled.  Band members attend only if they are scheduled for that week.  Rehearsal and sound check are conducted Sunday mornings at 8:15 am.
